Key of Terms

Closed - meeting is for anyone who wants to stop eating compulsively.
Open
- meeting is for any individual, family member, or friend who has a concern about how food is affecting that individual's life.
Beginners -
meeting is geared for new people who want to explore how food is affecting their life. Beginners may also attend any other meeting
. Big Book - uses material from the book Alcoholics Anonymous.
Steps and Traditions
- uses materials from the OA 12 Steps and 12 Traditions.
Discussion
- individuals have an opportunity to share their experience,strength, and hope.
Rotating format - uses material from various OA approved literature and/or speakers for each week of the month:  i.e. Step; Meditation Books, Big Book, Speaker & Leaders choice for 5th week if there is one in the month.
Lifeline -
uses material from the OA Lifeline
